Managing Partner Bio

Preston Polk is the Founder and Managing Partner of Glyph Consulting. He has over 15 years of operating and advisory experience in retail and business banking, payments processing, internet retailing, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Polk’s expertise includes the vision and development of revenue growth strategies, the design and assessment of new products and new market entry strategies as well as the re-engineering of external sales teams, and performance management systems. Mr. Polk has advised both domestic and international clients on the evolution of electronic and internet based payments, the development of wholesale and retail payment products and strategies, and the creation and management of alliances and joint ventures.

Prior to founding Glyph Consulting, Mr. Polk was a Senior Manager for two Fortune 500 companies – Wells Fargo Bank and First Data Corporation. His professional experience includes the creation of Home Account, an online banking software company; the management of corporate strategy, business development, and mergers & acquisition divisions, as well as being a senior engagement manager with Booz • Allen & Hamilton’s Financial Services Consulting Practice.

Mr. Polk earned his M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business, and also holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Swarthmore College.
